Write For Me By Michelle Holt Review

write for me

My name is Bently Young. I wouldn’t say I’m an angry person. In fact my life had been like a bubble gum infused sundae topped with happiness sprinkles up until the age of when I could date. And I started to date a lot. Guys were fun at first, a nice dinner, someone to tell me I was pretty and laugh at my sarcastic jokes. But then the little creeps started showing their true colors. And they were not my favorite colors. They were like barf green and overripe fungus tangerine. And it made me angry.

Swearing off dating all together was too drastic, but I sure wanted to not do it for a while. I had my family and friends to keep me occupied. I didn’t need a man to take me to cheesy restaurants. One could only eat so much free bread and butter. Life could keep zooming along without the necessity of someone with chest hair being around.

Oh but then I met Josh. If I could have just never known he existed, all would have been fine. Of course, I don’t mean that because if I never knew he was in the world, my own world would have been an awful place. He makes me want to dance under a happiness sprinkle hail storm. Pretty much he is gorgeous and has the insane ability to use his words to make my heart float out of my chest. That made things a lot better when everything else I knew in my life decided to implode. But we weren’t immune to the black hole of horribleness either.

Ours is an epic love story and I just happened to write it down for you…

My Thoughts…

WOW! I loved this book it was everything i hoped it would be and more. I laughed, I cried and I even got angry with the characters that I’ve grown to love so much. Bently is an extraordinary character! It was easy to read from her point of view and picture her world. She was such a strong character it was amazing after the things she’d gone through. Although sometimes her quick temper got her into more trouble than needed she was funny, quirky and she was so strange it was hilarious to be in her mind sometimes.

I absolutely adored Josh from the first time he talked to her, I was just in love with the idea of Josh and Bently. Josh is kind and considerate you can see that throughout the book but you later see that he can be easily manipulated and taken advantage of after the death of this brother. It’s sad to see both Bently and Josh having to go through so much but their relationship grows and I think Bently needed to learn to grow up and take responsibility for her actions and I loved being with her as that happened.

I’d love there to be more books based on the characters in this book such as Taylor and Heath as well as Griffin. I would also like to know what happens to Amanda even though I don’t like her, I think it would be good for her to have a break from the facade that was her life. So Mrs Michelle if you feel like getting a reviewer for your next books just let me know I’d love to review them!

Overall, I just loved the characters though at times they annoyed me I still love them and want more books of them!!. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good cheesy romance that has drama and a smoking hot man also known as Josh in it. I think I might just go and do a re-read of the book. Great job Michelle!!!!

Doctor/Patient Confidentiality Volume Three By Eme Strife

My feet are immediately frozen in place, almost as if they’ve been physically cemented to the floor. My legs feel foreign, like a pair of oversized ice blocks, their weight suddenly too heavy for the rest of my body.

A surge of ice shoots through them and flares throughout the rest of my body, making an especially notable impact as it slithers through my spine, and I know it’s not because of the onslaught of cold wind now blowing over me.

Icy blue eyes keep me paralyzed and mute for several moments, and I swear my voice just left with the last gust of wind that came my way.

I feel my eyelids stretching themselves to the point of discomfort in an effort to accommodate the quickly-widening eyeballs within them. I’m even unable to blink as I behold the tall, imposing man standing at my grandmother’s doorstep.

My Thoughts:

Picking up where Volume Two left off, Roni answers the door to find…the person she least expects. After everyone leaves Gran heads to bed and Roni cleans up instead of leaving it till morning. That’s when she finds the stacks of bills and debt paperwork and knows she needs to talk to Gran.On her way home, realizing how much money she and Gran need, she makes her decision and makes THE phone call.

She heads to her interview and manages to get the job however when she’s working on her first night she comes across one more surprise and that surprise comes with icy blue eyes…

And that folks is where it ends! Yet again another cliff hanger making me desperate for the next book. The story keeps getting better and better. I didn’t see some of the turns this book took coming. So that just sucked me in more. The slow build is killing me!! ahhh Miss Strife what are you doing to me!!

Doctor Patient Confidentiality Volume Two By Eme Strife Review

special toned photo f/x, selective focus on nearest part

I lower my own eyes with record speed—speed that I honestly didn’t think they possessed, darting my gaze away from his with a quickness when I catch him staring at me so intently.

My heart picks up its pace and refuses to slow down even little bit, even when I silently beg it to.

I feel extremely nervous.

HE’S making me extremely nervous, and I don’t know why.

“Lift up your shirt,” he says suddenly, and my eyeballs damn near switch places.

This is the second of twelve volumes in this series, and is approximately 16,000 words long.

This series contains mature and adult content (nudity, graphic sex, and strong language). Because of its explicit nature, it is intended for mature audiences only. Reader discretion is advised.

My Thoughts

Volume 2 carry’s on with Ramona recognizing Dr Frost and realizing that he is filling in for Dr Trent. Ramona is shocked or stunned by the beauty of Dr Frost and describes him to have a body like a wrestler. We also find out that the mysterious Dr Frost knows and is good friends to Ramona’s brother Danny. Where we later learn that there is conflict between Danny, her half-sister and herself. Later on she leaves the office as she can’t afford what the treatment plan is and sees her friend Nicole who offers her a proposition but can she accept?

Once again I can’t much more than this without giving much away but Miss Strife did warn us all that we would be left wanting more and boy am I can’t wait to read the rest of the books, the suspense is killing me every time I get a new book I’m left wanting more each time insert sequel I want the rest of the books!!!!!

Doctor-Patient Confidentiality By Eme Strife Review

Two very different people.

One scandalous proposition.

Endless possibilities…

I can’t believe how different things are now; how complicated my life has become in such a short amount of time.

It was never supposed to be like this.

He’s off limits.

He’s always been off limits.

I keep telling myself that; that being here with him is not supposed to feel this good.

God, HE’S not supposed to feel this good.

I wonder what my life would have been like now if I had gone to the clinic on a different day, or if I had just insisted on going with the physician I was initially referred to.

Never in my life would I have thought that in the events that followed the beginning of a regular school week, a random checkup would end up spawning a highly angst-filled, incredibly confusing, and quickly-unfolding mess.

This story unfolds over multiple serials and is not a standalone. This is the first book.

My Review:

Talk about cliffhangers! part 1 of 12 this was a hot  quick read, I’m going to give this a quick review because i really don’t want to give any of this away. Ramona (Roni) is a singer in collage and she has recently been experiencing stomach pain, when it starts interfering with her course, she chooses to go to the doctors clinic where she meets Doctor Dexter Frost, the most handsome man she’d ever seen, and that’s where it finishes!

Book 1 was mostly a descriptive, part setting the scene, making us comfortable with the main character Ramona and we learn about what collage life is like for her.

I honestly can’t say much more without giving it away but after reading this i’m excited to see what the next book has for us all.I hope you all enjoy it as much as i did.

When I’m Gone By Abbi Glines Review

when im gone

I had an urge to fix all her problems. Which was stupid. She was doing fine without me. But something about those big eyes…

Mase Colt-Manning has always preferred his humble life as a Texas rancher to his birthright as the son of a legendary rock star. In fact, he rarely visits his father’s rarefied world in Rosemary Beach, especially if it means bunking at his vile half-sister Nan’s house—until one visit leads to a chance encounter with a young, gorgeous house maid who awakens him with her off-key but spirited imitation of a country music star…

Reese Ellis finally has her freedom. After escaping a lifetime of abuse from her parents and classmates for an undiagnosed learning disorder, she seizes the opportunity to be a house maid to some of the richest families in Rosemary Beach. But her job is in jeopardy when she causes an accident at the home of her most important client, Nan Dillon. When a hot, half-naked stranger with a cowboy’s swagger comes to her rescue, she’s intrigued—then afraid once he shows his own interest. Reese has never met a trustworthy man in her life. Will Mase be any different?

My review…

I had actually been pissed at the mirror for hurting her. Who gets fucking mad at an object? “Mase?”

Oh my! Mase Colt-Manning is one amazing man.

Mase runs a ranch back in Texas and he comes to visit his sister Harlow where he meets a young  women called Reese, Reese has had a troubled past and struggles with trusting men until Mase came along and changes everything that she has been brought to believe. Like many of Abbi’s books I loved the romance and the story line of it, the twists and turns always manage to get me enticed into the story line and with this one my views have not changed.

I loved how Mase and Reese’s romance grew with the more the story went on  and how you got a glimpse into the other characters in the book such as Harlow and Grant and their little baby Hope as well as Rush and Blair with their child Nate it was amazing to see them all again like catching up with old friends so I hope if anyone does read this book, which I strongly recommend, they start with the other books first as it makes the book that more impressive. As always with these books you get a glimpse of rosemary beaches very own queen bitch Nan. Now if you have read the other books you would understand why I have awarded her that name however even just by reading this book you’ll see why.

Reese is one character that surprised me with her response to Nan though as most just write Nan of to be a flat-out bitch however Reese does not and this me think that maybe Abbi might be getting us ready for Nan to have her own story? or maybe she just wanted to empathize on how understanding Reese is but anyway I think it would be interesting for Nan to actually have her own book.

Surprisingly, with all of the heroin’s issues, I didn’t feel that she was a weak heroin or whiny in any way. I really enjoyed her character. Despite all of the hardship she endured, she isn’t bitter or angry at the world either. When she escaped her family and came to Rosemary Beach, she was starting a new page. She just wanted a little peace and solitude and a way to live a normal life. I looked at her as someone with courage, strength, and honesty. And watching Mase bring her out of her shell and get her to learn how to deal and trust again was truly the sweetest thing I’ve read in while. These are totally my favorite couple of the week if not month!

Overall, I Loved this book but really when do i actually dislike any of Abbi’s books? and i hope all of you get the chance or make time for this book as I can a sure you that your time will not be wasted on this book that’s for sure. I’m personally thinking of a way to get Mase to jump out of the book and be my boyfriend to be honest he is just that swoon-worthy.

  • story line – 5 stars
  • Romance – 5 stars
  • HEP?- yes but lands on cliffhanger for book 2 (When I’m Back)

“Why?” she asked.
“Why what?”
“Why do you want to help me?” I didn’t even pause.
“Because you’re worth helping.”

Falling Away by Penlope Douglas Fall away #3 review

Jaxon is the guy she’s supposed to avoid.
The Blurb..
K.C. is the girl he won’t let get away….

K. C. Carter has always followed the rules—until this year, when a mistake leaves her the talk of her college campus and her carefully arranged life comes crashing to a halt. Now she’s stuck in her small hometown for the summer to complete her court-ordered community service, and to make matters worse, trouble is living right next door.

Jaxon Trent is the worst kind of temptation and exactly what K.C. was supposed to stay away from in high school. But he never forgot her. She was the one girl who wouldn’t give him the time of day and the only one to ever say no. Fate has brought K.C. back into his life—except what he thought was a great twist of luck turns out to be too close for comfort. As the bond between them grows, he discovers that convincing K.C. to get out from her mother’s shadow is hard, but revealing the darkest parts of his soul is nearly impossible.

My thoughts…

Okay so this book is the same as the first one really its starts of love/hate and grows into a really cute relationship. You learn a lot more about kc is this book and you somewhat grow to forgive her for what she did to tate in the first book.

Now what I really want to write about was what happens in the teaser at the end for aflame. Now I did love the book but what Jax did around 85% into the book because he was in a bad mood was just so far from right its unreal I was not impressed and sadly that ruined the nice image I had of Jax, because no matter how much Penelope writes about the other couples in the series Jared and Tate will always be one of my favourite couple and anyone who messes with this perfect relationship, Jax! are dead to me…

Penelope you know what I’m talking about fix this right now!

Stay with me J Lynn (Jennifer Armentrout) Wait for you series (4)

Blurb…

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You and Be with Me comes a daring tale that pushes boundaries . . .

At 21, Calla hasn’t done a lot of things. She’s never been kissed, never seen the ocean, never gone to an amusement park. But growing up, she witnessed some things no child ever should. She still carries the physical and emotional scars of living with a strung-out mother, Mona—secrets she keeps from everyone, including her close circle of college friends.

But the safe cocoon Calla has carefully built is shattered when she discovers her mom has stolen her college money and run up a huge credit card debt in her name. Now, Calla has to go back to the small town she thought shed left behind and clean up her mom’s mess again. Of course, when she arrives at her mother’s bar, Mona is nowhere to be found. Instead, six feet of hotness named Jackson James is pouring drinks and keeping the place humming.

Sexy and intense, Jax is in Calla’s business from they moment they meet, giving her a job and helping her search for Mona. And the way he looks at her makes it clear he wants to get horizontal . . . and maybe something more. Before Calla can let him get close, though, she’s got to deal with the pain of the past—and some very bad guys out to mess her up if she doesn’t give them her mom.

Review:

Jennifer Armentrout never disappoints! whatever name she’s under she manages to do an outstanding job at writing a book you can sink into and with this book you certainly can! As always Jennifer manages to make it so you can’t put the book down, you are absorbed into it completely.

The main characters in this book are calla and the yummy Jackson James also known as ‘Jax’. The thing I love most about this series is that the heroines are never perfect there is always something going on in there lives which has scarred them emotionally or physically and Jennifer has written it perfectly portraying the feelings of them exactly. Another thing I like is that the characters never immediately see each other and jump all over themselves. There is a story-line that happens and it builds up their relationship gradually and I love watching it grow!.

Now onto the ‘hot guy brigade’ as Calla likes to call them, yes you get to see all the characters from previous books such as Avery and Cam and their perfect relationship and Teresa and Jase, even Ollie and Brit make an appearance in the book! yes everyone all that sexiness in one book and I think that’s a reason in itself to pick the book and read it.

Overall, this book is amazing and I recommended to anyone who loves a good romance book with a hell of a lot of sexiness!

“You know what else I see? A physical reminder of how fucking strong you are, Calla, how fucking brave you are. That’s what I see when I look at your back. A map of how brave you are, your strength and your courage.”
