Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout review

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

My Thought’s…

Okay so I read this book ages ago and have done a review on my old blog like many of my reviews so i’m currently sorting through them all re-writing out old reviews tweaking them and publishing them all for you.. This is why there is so many being published at a time i’m trying to get my self up to date on everything before i start doing new reviews so here we go. 😀

This was one of the book series i read by Jennifer L Armentrout and I fell in love with the plot from the first sentence.  I literally sank into my seat and didn’t move until i finished it.

I think the first thing I fell in love with was how she didn’t keep to the main story line like many authors are doing now.Girl falls in love with a boy who has a dark secret but they all live good together blah blah… don’t get me wrong i actually read those books and enjoy them 🙂 but it’s nice to have a change once in a while and this book did that.

Katy is your average teenage girl. I love the fact the she doesn’t get intimidated and has a mind of her own. She believes in what is right and follows her instincts and her heart (Daemon..)! She was incredible in this story, No matter how many times Daemon pushed her away, she only tries harder to be in his and his sister’s life! and does not take any of daemon’s crap along the way It was inspiring and enjoyable.

Then we have Daemon  mmmmmmm! Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is YUMMMM and then he is sooo funny! Although, I thought he could be a bit of a “douchebag”  he actually cares for Katy…even if it’s in his own weird way. I love him. Really, that’s all I can say. I think I am addicted to his funny comments. It was funny, because when I was reading I always was anticipating when he would say something hilarious and katy would always come back with something else. It was brilliant the whole little encounters they had and I couldn’t wait for more

And this is what i thought of it overall….

Okay! I think that shows just about how much I love this book! And how absolutely crazy I am of it so get reading 🙂

If I don’t kill him first, that is

  1. I have had this ebook for awhile now. I used to read a lot of those girl meets the mysterious new boy at school books when my son was sick, and we were at the hospital all the time. I liked them because if I got interrupted, I didn’t really mind, and it was always easy to get back into the book afterwards. I always downloaded the books when I saw them on special so I had them on hand. After the hospital stuff was behind us I stopped reading that type of book and this was one left unread. Now that you have said it is diffetent than the norm I will definitely give it a whirl. I hate wasting money on unread books. 🙂
