Onyx (Lux series book 2) Jennifer L. Armentrout Review

Onyx - Jennifer L. Armentrout

Blurb…

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there’s this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that’s possible. Against all common sense, I’m falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

My Thought’s…

Okay again I have already read this series and but I’m re-writing the reviews now. But anyone who had not read Obsidian start reading it now as it does need to be read before this one.As soon as I turned the last page of Obsidian, I picked up the second book in the series, Onyx. Well, after reading the short story about Daemon’s brother Dawson,Shadows ( which I recommend reading before this book). Anyways, it was just that good that I wanted to stay  in the world and never leave, and thankfully Onyx didn’t let me down either.

Onyx picks up right where Obsidian left off and if I thought I fell hard for Daemon in Obsidian, I pretty much keeled over for him in Onyx. Things have changed in big ways and now Daemon is determined to win over Katy. Katy isn’t quite so sure, after the stunts he’s pulled luring her in only to leave her feeling a little bit too vulnerable she’s not quick to trust him. But c’mon, he’s Daemon and he can be ridiculously charming when he wants to be.

Also,I absolutely despised Blake, every single body part of his belongs in jail, or in the woods, with wolves…big…furry…hungry ones. Enough said… Wait there’s one more thing i’d like to say to him

A bit near towards the end of the book was heartbreaking all i could think was…

Photobucket

and then finally on the last page…

Overall this book was Filled with action, suspense, an engaging storyline and of course there’s the sexpot that is Daemon, you just can’t go wrong with these books and it really goes to show you how amazing of a writer Jennifer L. Armentrout is. She’s created a solid and addictive page-turner of a series that I simply never want to end! I recommend this series its brilliant

check out my review for opal soon 🙂

  1. I couldn’t believe how good this book was. I was in a second book funk and throughly disappointed with all number two books I’ve read but this one was different. It probably was Daemon. He makes things irresistible. I’m finishing up Opal now. It’s also good. Have you read Origins? Is it any good?

    • hiii, tattoogirlreads I know what your saying second books just aren’t as good anymore but this one was great 😀 aha and yes it was probably because of the amazing daemon!! .Yes I’ve read Orgins the reviews coming soon, As well as opposition both are wonderful books and its a shame to seem the series come to a end. I think you love the next 3 books if you loved the first to books!!!
